The Role
Two months during the summer of 2010 with a Venezuelan advertising, film, and design production agency responsible for building and launching the municipal government portal for Chacao Municipality, one of the primary commercial and cultural districts of Caracas. I was hired specifically to lead that web development project.
This was my first formal leadership post, initiating a dual-responsibility model that I would maintain throughout my subsequent career: coordinating delivery timelines and team workflows while actively writing core code.
The Chacao Municipal Portal
A civic government web platform constructed on top of Joomla, requiring extensive custom PHP extensions and modular templates to accommodate municipal service directories, civic news, and citizen engagement. The front end was crafted with semantic HTML, CSS, and jQuery, tightly integrated into the CMS theme layer.
The team comprised three people: another software developer, a graphic designer, and myself. Coordinating visual designers within a technical engineering sprint inside a fast-paced creative agency was my initial immersion in bridging engineering and visual design—a collaborative foundation that made working seamlessly alongside creative and marketing teams second nature throughout my career.
