Scope of This Practice
Alongside software engineering, I have worked professionally in 3D modeling, architectural rendering, graphic design, and audiovisual post-production throughout my career. This is not an informal hobby: it has been commercial, billable work delivered across various career stages for diverse enterprise clients.
Architectural Visualization
3D modeling, texturing, lighting, and rendering of architectural designs for residential and commercial construction companies in the United States: Max Construction Group, Rise Engineers, and Hawthorne Constructions. The core deliverable is transforming 2D CAD blueprints into photorealistic imagery enabling buyers and investors to experience a property before construction begins.
The core toolchain comprises SketchUp for volumetric and spatial modeling, and Cinema 4D, Lumion, and Unreal Engine for photorealistic lighting and scene rendering, chosen according to client visual fidelity requirements.
Graphic Design and Brand Identity
Logo design, vector typography, brand style guides, and commercial print collateral. This constituted a core focus during my tenure leading Estudio Creativo Saltamontes as Creative Director, and has consistently reappeared across subsequent engineering engagements where startups required identity creation.
Motion Graphics and Video Production
Motion graphics compositing and video editing in After Effects, tracing back to my tenure at film production company OrugaFilms and utilized across promotional video campaigns for software products.
Why This Matters in a Technical Portfolio
Because it reveals a crucial engineering attribute that a standard programming language list fails to convey: I am accustomed to ensuring that software must not only function robustly, but look and feel exceptional. In user-facing software projects, this unified perspective eliminates the communication friction commonly found between engineering and design.
